Hello everyone,
i'm trying to setup a backup copy job to a remote Data Domain 2200 which has a NFS export mounted to a linux (Ubuntu) VM but i'm experiencing some problems.
The job fails with error "..Call execution timeout (100000ms) .."
The KB1176 unfortunately does not help.
The actual setup is:
- local backup at primary site to a local Data Domain 2200 using DD Boost
What i would like to achieve:
- create a copy job to a secondary site to a remote Data Domain 2200
Does anyone has a similar setup?
I've also a support ticket opened 03105312
Thanks, kind regarads

Re: Backup copy job with DataDomain
Hi iNiko,
It is not ideal to run a Backup Copy Job with a deduplication device as source, as all data needs to be rehydrated from from the dedup device.
As well to run the Datadomain without DDBoost integration can lead into performance issues with all kind of synthetic processing like Merges.
Did you have added the NFS share to a Linux system at same site as the backup copy job target datadomain ?

Re: Backup copy job with DataDomain
Hi Andreas,
Yes the Linux vm and the data domain are both in the target site.
Today, as suggested by support guy, i’ve tried to add directly to the Veeam server in the source site the data domain in the target site using dd boost.
The error seems gone .. this night (after local backup job) the copy job should run.. i’ll Give you a feedback tomorrow.
Thanks!

Re: Backup copy job with DataDomain
Maybe you used on the Linux Server the default SSH configuration which is pretty limited in case of connection count.
If you use a linux server, don´t forget to tune sshd
/etc/ssh/sshd_conf settings:
ClientAliveInterval 30
TCPKeepAlive yes
ClientAliveCountMax 99999
MaxSessions 200
MaxStartups 100:30:200
