Backup of independent disks (vsphere storage for k8s)

Hello,

we are still searching for a solution to do basic backups of the independent disks that vsphere storage for kubernetes uses.

As far as i know file copy jobs can copy independent disks. Would that create a crash consistent copy of a independent VM disk? Or would the beginning of the copied file be a complete different state than the end of the copied file?

I would not expect File Copy to work unless the VM is powered off.

You are right... If the VM runs it does not work
