Backup Restore Media Stops With Green Screen

Hi guys,

I'm trying to do a backup restore and I am finding that to restore I need to:

1) Boot to the restore media
2) Go into Tools and select the RAID drivers
3) Wait 5 minutes for the RAID drivers to load
4) Select the backup
5) Wait 5 minutes for the drives to align with the backup drives correctly
6) Start the restore

We have found that if we don't wait for 5 minutes it won't load the required drivers and drives properly. If we skip the waiting periods we may end up with a green screen that doesn't allow us to proceed, or the backup restore will fail or hang.

This morning we couldn't even get the restore media to load the RAID drivers correctly so the machine is now running with only one drive instead of having an active RAID1 mirror.

We know that the system that is being restored is flaky as we have to restore it from a backup several times a week.

Any thought on this would be appreciated. I've tried to use Veeam Agent to submit a ticket but it fails with "Unknown result status: PermissionDeny".



P.S. Not sure if relevant but Windows Backup won't run on this machine, it fails with no error, and the logs, when inspected, are empty:

Hi guys,

I have the exact same issue with the exact same machine again. I'm trying to restore a backup using the Veeam Recovery Media I created two weeks ago but it says it can't auto-align the partitions so I have to do it manually. When I attempt to do so it just gives me a grey screen instead of a list of drives, with a note at the top that drivers might be missing. Going back to the first menu I then go to Tools and add the RAID drivers. I then go back into Restore and get a pure green screen, nothing else. I've waited but nothing seems to be happening.

Rebooted, tried again, same issue.

Like last time I'm also getting "PermissionDeny" on sending a error report to Veeam. Can someone from Veeam please reach out and help with this? Thanks.
