Veeam Proxy Update to Server 2016 or 1803

Hello

We have a Physical Proxy with Server 2012 R2. for ReFS we need Server 2016 and want to update the proxy now to server 2016 or 1803. 1803 has ReFS with Dedublication.

Can we make a fresh Windows installation on this Proxy without delete from VBR? My plan was to perform a rescan in VBR after installation and have the components reinstalled for tape, mount, NFS and so on.

Is this possible?

Hi Jan,

Yes, that's possible.
You should find this proxy in the backup infrastructure under Unavailable node, then you can right-click on it, select Properties and re-discover the server, this should install the required components. Thanks!
