Veeam MS SQL backups and SQL Studio

Post by driley »

Hello,
If we use Full recovery model on a database, allow Veeam to backup and truncate logs, then a DBA makes an ad hoc backup using SQL Studio, how will Veeam handle this event?

If you truncate logs using native SQL capabilities, there will be conflict during Veeam SQL log truncation job, as only one application must orchestrate log processing. Thanks.

The DBA could do with as long as they did a COPY_ONLY backup, that won't affect the transaction logs
