I have a question about Office 365 backup 2.0. Do I need to have a SQL server configured in order to backup SharePoint that resides in the cloud.
In reading the documentation I need SQL set up to use the Veeam Explorer for SharePoint. What is the size that this DB will be? Is it directly tied to the size of the backup?
Thank you
Frank

Re: SharePoint SQL requirements?
Hi Frank,
Thank you for your question, as it uncovered the need to update our user guide with a clarification of using SQL with Veeam Explorer for Microsoft SharePoint
Veeam Explorer for SharePoint can restore items from both VBO and VBR backups (which are different). To restore SharePoint Online items from VBO backups, SQL is not required and you can safely skip those settings. They only are needed if you're going to use the same Explorer for SharePoint backups created with VBR.
Hope this helps.
