Add user for initial Veeam Logon

Post by portmaster1000 »

I'm still very new to Veeam Backup & Replication and right now I logon with the "Use Windows session authentication" checked. I'd like to be able to use the local server admin user as well. How do I add another user for logon?

thanx

Hello Mark.

You can create a new user via Veeam B&R console's main menu > Users and Roles. Type in account hostname\account name and choose the desired level of permissions. Thanks!

Thanks! I was able to add a local user to the Administrators group on the server itself and it worked for the logon!

That's expected behavior, since you can use any local administrator account on the machine with the Veeam B&R console.
You can see it on the Required Permissions page of the User Guide. Thanks!
