Replicate reverse incremental to second repository via WAN

Post by Andi0r »

Hi,

i am currently configuring a replication of our backups to another server in another data center, they are conected via 40Mbit connection, and ipsec.
I have configured a replication via wan accelerator every day.... i have noticed, that the backup on the backupserver is set to reverse incremental and it is working, but on the other repository it looks like a normal incremental backup. is this behavior normal?
I only want to have a 1:1 copy of the repository on the backup server, is it possible?

best regards
Andreas

Hi Andreas, yes, backup copy is always forward incremental, and is actually not a 1:1 copy of your source repository. It creates restore points synthetically and has independent backup chain. Thanks.
