automatic "mark as free"?

Hey,
so, is ist possible to set every new tape on its own as "mark as free" ?
or does it have to be done manually every time?

Hello Daniel.

No, this action should be performed manually (as there might be some useful information that could accidentally erased in case of such automation). That said, I bet it's possible to set the automated mark as free via PowerShell scripting. Cheers!

and how can i set this to "mark as free" ??

Daniel,

You must mark tape as free while tape is being moved between media pools, so, with this thought you can move any new tape to the desired media pool and mark it as free during this process. Check this cmdlet. Cheers!
