Failed to read data from... / Case 03158126

Hello everyone,

my english is not very good but I try to describe my problem as well as possible...

I use Veeam B&R 9.5.0.1922. I have four backup jobs running and one backup copy job which offloads the data to another repoitory. Type ist CIFS. So far, everything has always worked without problems.

Yesterday, I outsourced the repository for backup copy job to an outbuilding in which I run another network.

Now I get the following message from backup copy job:

Code: Select all

25.08.2018 15:23:43 :: Processing SERVERNAME Error: Unexpected network error Failed to write data to the file [\\THNAS01\veeam-backup\Backup Copy Job VMware\Backup Copy Job VMwareD2018-08-25T150344.vbk].
Failed to backup text locally. Backup: [VBK:
'veeamfs:0:4192119f-425e-43c4-aeea-e3ac10132946
(vm-8068)\summary.xml@\\THNAS01\veeam-backup\Backup Copy Job VMware\Backup Copy Job VMwareD2018-08-25T150344.vbk'].
Agent failed to process method {DataTransfer.BackupText}.
Agent failed to process method {DataTransfer.BackupText}.
Now I do not know why it suddenly stops working. Rescan the repository is successful.

Do you have an idea?

Judging on the error, most likely you have some issues with the network equipment or its settings. Try using Wireshark for trouleshooting. Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback! Have found the mistake meanwhile. It was the IPS of the firewall :-(
