Export specific backup from a chain

Post by chriskarako »

Dear all
I want to export to usb a specific backup from a scheduled job
Is it possible to do this by copying the full backup file , the specific incremental and the metadata file to the disk, and then rescan it as a repository?
I want to do this inorder to keep it out of office
Thanks in advance

You can copy a full chain to the changeable media or a single vbk file.

The import need the full chain or a single vbk.

Maybe look into adding the changeable media as Repository and activate changeable media support at the advanced settings. That way you can create with the Backup Copy a full file from current restore point and then store it offline. Whenever you add a new storage again (same drive letter) you can activate the Backup Copy Job and process a new full from actual restore point.
