Backup copy job notifications

Hi

Is there a way to limit the amount of notification mails for a continuous backup copy job?
I know you can send a summary mail with Veeam One but we are currently not using this. Is there another way?

The notification email should be sent once per interval. How often email is currently sent and how often do you want to receive it?

For example,
We have a backup copy job that failed past night because the repository wasn't available. I received 20 email alert notifying me about this. Approximately every 30m.

Backup copy job is configured to run between 7PM and 8AM

I just want to receive this alert one time.

how long is your sync interval? Is it 30 minutes by any chance?

The job is setup as follow:

Copy every 1 day starting at 0:00
This job can transfer data during the following time periods only:
7PM - 8AM

That's a normal behaviour for v8. Backup copy job attempts to create target restore point every 30 minutes and, if failed, sends you a notification.

Hi PTide. I found this thread because i've the same identical needs.
Backup copy job in an external USB Drive, scheduled every 1 Days start at 10:00, from 10:00 to 18:00 5 days a week period eneble in transfer control settings.
If USB Drive is not connect for any reason, every 30 minute i've a notification email, for all day long, and if i not connect the drive in the disable days too, until i connect a drive and the job can start.
I need only one notification, the first.
Is it possible have the registry keys too?

P.S: forgive me, but i think that if this is a config feature in future release or patch this is very apreciate, because all works very good in VEEAM Backup & Replication and this is only an annoyng situation.

Hi,

Since the keys are for v8, I'd suggest you to contact our support team directly for that as the keys from older versions might not be applicable to your particular case. What VBR version are you using ?
it's also worth checking "Suppress warnings until the last retry" option.
