how to keep week, monthly and year backups

Hey, I want to setup the following backup of vm"s from hyper v to my store once catalyst backup repository
Daily incrementals with a rentention of 6 days
weekly (saterday) full backup with a retention of 28 days
monthly full (last saterday of the month) backup with a rentention of 364 days
yearly (last saterday of the year) full backup with a rentention of 7 years.

How can I set this up with a backup job an how can I move the monthly and yearly fulls with a backup copy job to my second catalyst store backup repository on another location.

Hello Carol,
You can create a backup job and 2 backup copy jobs.
Backup job will have 6 days retention.
First backup copy job will make weekly backups with 4 weeks retention.
Second backup copy job will make monthly and yearly backups and send them to the secondary location.

and is it a good idea to check : Read the entire restore point from source backup instead of synthesizing it form incremental?

I would say yes, if you don't use Surebackup verification. And no if you do.
