Anyone tried Windows 2000?

Post by bonzovt »

I know Win 2000 is not officially supported for the Veeam agent, just was curious as to whether anyone has even attempted to install it on a physical Win 2000 before?

Hi Adam - Regrettably, it won't work as the installer will not succeed due to requirements check. If it is virtualized - Veeam Backup & Replication can protect it without any consistency of the applications.

If you don't mind me asking - can we possibly brainstorm what it would take to get it to a newer OS?

hey rick! appreciate the quick answer. unfortunately it is an old scada automation environment, will be having future chats with the customer in which something like this will maybe help drive the conversation around modernizing the LOB app sooner rather than later.
