Feature request - email alerts

Hi there,
I would like you to implement proper smtp setup so we could relay backup alerts.
As of right now it puts same email address into 'to' and 'from' field regardless of what i enter in the settings. It makes it difficult to navigate through alerts when you have multiple clients.
Please allow Veeam agent to actually send emails via email relay server in respectful manner of 'to' and 'from' fields.
I would appreciate that a lot.

You can import the backup configuration with separate from and to addresses via configuration api. Check the email notification portion of the xml configuration: Application Parameters: Email Report section

Dima, I appreciate you navigating me to Agent configuration file edit, it worked for me!
However I still would like to leave this feature request for the gui because as of right now its just misleading to users and admins and it would be neat to have explicit configuration page and all fields would act in respective manner.

Send alerts/reports/warnings from S.M.A.R.T about disk health. Is that make sense ?

Berkovska, I understand your point, thank you! Added your vote to this feature request.

Jan1, VAW is already looking for bad blocks during backup and notify users if such block was detected with warning. That could be the indication of required SMART check. Cheers!
