Automated Tape report for offsite-ing tapes

Post by JonJR »

We are looking to send our LTO8s offsite to Iron Mountain or an IM like company. Rather than us figuring out what tapes to send and recall, is there a good automated way in Veeam - In CommVault we used to use VaultTracker. I know that VeeamOne does a tape report, but I don't have the budget for it :(.

I guess I could try and do it in PowerShell if there wasn't one.

Cheers Jon

Hello Jon.

You can use Vaulting functionality for that purpose: setup a tape export to Vault withing tape job. To have a printed copy of exported tape media I'd recommend you to look at VeeamOne reporting capabilities and Tape Vaults Overview report. Let us know if that works for your case. Cheers!
