Import a Full Backup from agent and map the incrementals to a repository

Post by Scoazze »

Hello,
I tried to search the forum for this kind of solution but didn't find anything relevant. So I am asking this again.

I made a full backup of PC1, PC2, PC3 ... with Veeam Agent. Backup is on exteranl USB drive with a policy writing on X: drive for every client.
I would like to import these backups on my repository, then link PC1, PC2, PC3 to the new imported backup in my Veeam Backup & Replication repository.
Obviously I would like to keep the same backup chain.

I followed this guide --> https://www.veeam.com/kb2321
but with no luck... Imported full backup do not move from "Imported" section.
Every time I start a backup job, a new folder in repository is created named "VeeamBackupAgent1234782369" with randon numbers.
The old folder with the name "Agent Backup - xyz" is ignored.

Is it possible to do that in some way?
What am I missing?

Thanks for your help
regards

Andrea

Hello Andrea.
Imported full backup do not move from "Imported" section.
How the backup files are stored on the file system prior performing import? Specifically I am interested in folder structure for the agent backups. Thank you in advance.
