I would like to display a report showing all datastores with their VMFS type. File System: Type" only carries "VMFS" in all cases.
Is there a way to show the version of VMFS in the list (e.g. VMFS5/VMFS6)?
Thanks,
Mike

Re: File System: Type
Hi mdiver, I am curious what value the VMFS version information gives?
I only ask as I used to research VMFS revisions very specifically over the years, but gave up as it really did not matter after all.

Re: File System: Type
Hi Rick.
We have many customers in the process of switching from VMFS-5 to VMFS-6 for known benefits and it would be very helpful to see how far this process has been driven so far.
Funny point is, in vCenter (all 3 clients) this info is directly visible with the type in the list of datastores.
VeeamONE seems to drop the suffix intendedly.
Thanks and regards,
Mike

Re: File System: Type
Mike, indeed VMFS type cannot be displayed currently.
I've taken the request into account though.
Thanks!
