Weekly incrementals with Monthly synthetic full Backups?!

Hi there,

i'm wondering about the configuration option in veeam 5.0.1.
Ok. What will i do?

I will backup a lot of Windows 2003 Servers. I will backup this with a monthly full backup (1 per Month synthetic full) und weekly incrementals (1 per week).
What must i do to configure that in the Backup options? Please help me.

Hi William, this is not possible today via UI. You can set this up, only if you use active fulls instead of synthetic. However, there are technical (performance) reasons why you want full backup at least once per week. We are looking to add better support for scenarios with more rare synthetic full backups down the road though, since this has been requested before. Thanks!
