"Perform backup files health check (detects and auto-heals corruption)"

1. Edit the job
2. Go to the storage screen
3. Click on Advanced
4. Move to the Maintenance tab
5. Configure the settings

That might work, although I don't fully understand the question.

Hello Babak,
now i want get backup from a NFS path for example i want get backup every day from this path /usr/dump.tgz
Can you elaborate with what type of backup activity you plan to achieve it? With Linux agent backup job? Thanks!

Oh, I think I understand.

I think you want to use guest file indexing. That will allow you to mount the backup file at the repository and pick out individual files to restore. Is that what you mean?

No, Surebackup functionality is not meant to check consistency of files copied via file copy job. Thanks!

No, it just copies files when they change, and replaces older versions. If you want incremental backups for files, you should try using File to Tape job instead. This thread is worth checking (things might have changed since 2015, though).

Thanks!

You have to use either FileCopy if your DataDomain is accessible as CIFS share, or use FileToTape if you can emulate tape drive with some software.

Thanks!

If you want to backup files from Linux machine, you should try VAL. Just keep in mind that VAL supports only the following types of targets: NFS, CIFS, VBR repository, Cloud Connect repository.

Thanks!

Right. If you can install the Agent on the linux machine that contains the specific path, then the Agent will be able to perform file-level backup of that path.

Thanks
