Scale-out backup repository: Resource not ready

Post by milonet »

Hi,
On my VBR 9.5 U3 i switched configuration from single repository to scale out backup repository with 3 extends and 1 in maintenance mode due to license limit.
After switch in scale out mode, my backups job becomes slowly.
I found that in the Job Monitor the vm process still in "Resource not ready: Backup repository". This messages show for all vms for many time.
No other jobs are using the backup repositories.
All backup repositories are configured to cuncurrent task as equal as cpu-core number.

How can i found the repository is locked by?

Best regards

Hi, you can see what jobs are active by going to Jobs node. If you believe the available amount of concurrent tasks does not match job activity, please open a support case and include case ID here. Thanks!

Hi,
Is your scale-out is still slow? Support found something. We got the exact same situation with our Dell MD3400 + MD1200 Extension in Scale-Out Repo.

Basically the message suggests that backup repository has run out of processing tasks. Check Jobs node and see whether all available slots have been occupied or not.

If not, reach our support team for further investigation.

Thanks!
