Any info if VMSA-2018-0027 breaks backups in any way?

I'm really getting confused about which update we can install and which we should not because of breaking Backup.

We have not had a chance to deploy and test it yet and normally we do not specifically test against minor updates/hotfixes. Anyway, I will check when our QC lab is updated and get back if we see any issues there. Thanks!

The Question is if this patch will lead to this problem too:
KB 2784 - https://www.veeam.com/kb2784

Because the KB is mentioning vCenter 6.7u1 only...

No, since this is a security patch for ESXi hosts that isn't related to vSphere API.

Which vib 'delivers' the vSphere API?

These VMware patches all update whole esx-base vib, which will upgrade a 6.5U1 host to 6.5U2 (as reported by vmware -vl) by stealth. We need to ensure that by applying these security updates, that we are not exposing ourselves to potential backup issues.

I believe this is more a sort of question for VMware.
