What was the solution or the other Thread then?
we're having the same issue while trying to install linux agent on SLES12 SP2 while it worked on SLES 12 SP3.
Console states "unsupported OS"

Thanks

Hi,

The resolution was to replace os-release file with os-release from another OS (OEL 6.9). That was a bug which has been be fixed in VBR U3a. Please contact our support team directly for investigation and post your case ID.

Thanks!
