Reporting via PowerShell

Hi,

I'm looking for a way to grab a monthly report for a particular backup job. I guess it would just need to show the status of the job and I could input a time range.
What we're doing at the moment is right-clicking on a job and selecting "Report". I'm then just printing to PDF a subset of that HTML report to send to our head of security.

I'm trying to find a way to automate this process either via PowerShell or via Restful API.

Hi Steve,

first of all you could achieve this with Veeam ONE. There are plenty of predefined reports which will help you with receiving a monthly report.

I.e. this one -> Backup Job Historical Information

You can adjust those reports for particular jobs and schedule it for receiveing the report monthly. This would be the "fastest way" to automate this.

Another method would be to have a look at this PowerShell Report:
Veeam v9 – My Veeam Report 9.5.3

You can adjust the script for your needs and also schedule it in any desired way.

I'd looked at that PS Report before, but obviously not closely enough. I've got it to do a monthly report, and only include the Backup Copy job that I require.

Need 7 days backup status of each client through powershell/veeam one .
Columns required 1) Client Name 2) Next seven columns will be backup status of each day

Then, you need to re-write the script, so that it analyzes not only the latest job session, but also six previous ones (assuming you're on daily schedule). Thanks!
