MS SQL logs backup and encryption

Hello,

I have question about encryption and MS SQL transactional logs backup. When I turn on encryption for backup job in which I have VM with MS SQL on it and I also backup logs with this job will both be encrypted (vm backup and logs backup)? Can I use in such case Veeam Explorer without a problems or limitations?

Hello Marcin,

Encryption works for transaction log backup and whenever you enable encryption on primary backup, transaction log backup is automatically encrypted. All available restore options will work with backup file being encrypted. Cheers!
