Hello.
In the VAL requirements que Foundation that "machines used as cluster nodes are unsupported".
1) It means that in a cluster ( LVM cluster ir Oracle RAC) i can't do backup even to local disk ( out of cluster) ?
2) The LVM cluster ir not supported as the requirements said but in the forum there is cases in wich backing up the active node, the backup and restore Works. In the next update 4 this will bem supported ?

Re: Red Hat Cluster LVM
Hi,
It means that the impact that VAL gives on on the LVM-based clustered systems is yet to be studied. Until that, such systems are not supported. Although it might seem that it should work OK as long as you backup only system partition and do not include the clustered LV in the backup, it is hard to predict how snapshot process might affect clvmd and other services that the cluster relies on.
Thanks
