openSUSE

Post by fleamour »

Code: Select all

The destination path is a directory that is selected for backup. Please either choose a non-local destination(CIFS/USB/NFS) or exclude /.
The backup destination is mounted under /run/media/fleamour/BKF/Archive. It wont backup because; endless mirrors I assume, a backup of a backup? I do not want to exclude root, obviously.

I am running Tumbleweed which is not supported, but mad props for supporting BTRFS!

:D :?

At least I assume BTRFS is supported, cus no banner error message with latest version. But root is BTRFS, so maybe that the problem?!?

Hi,

Yes, BTRFS is supported in v3.0

What was the object that you've selected for backup, was it root subvolume, or just the whole BTRFS, or just a single device that belongs to BTRFS?
What is the destination, is it share or HDD?

Please provide some info: lsblk -af and btrfs subvolume list / outputs

P.S. Tumbleweed is supported up to kernel 4.18.

Thanks!

Would you try to reconfigure the job, please? Select volume-level, choose sda specifically, and then choose the USB device as a target. I expect that to work. Regardless of if it works or not please open a support case to let our support team can get logs from you for investigation. Since your "/" subvolume is located on a separate device, ther should be no problems backing up to USB drive.

Thanks!

The job configures correctly then fails to even run. I have exported error logs but I am a community member & do not have business or business email so as to sign up for a Veeam support account .

No, it is not a misconfigured job. This error:

Code: Select all

14:08:08 [error] Failed to load module [veeamsnap] with parameters [zerosnapdata=1 debuglogging=0 s...
It means that veeamsnap module failed to load. There are several possible reasons - the installation has gone wrong, or the kernel version that you use is not supported for Tumbleweed (4.18 is the highest). If your kernel version is ok, then please try to reinstall the agent (make sure that kernel headers that you use match your kernel version). After reinstall check if the module is loaded (lsmod | grep veeamsnap),, and if it s not, then try load it manually (modprobe veeamsnap).

Thanks!
