Hi,
actually you have to deinstall RTM and install GA and doing a Config Restore.
But there should be also a Download that is updating RTM to GA in a few days.
Regards
Daniel

Hi,
That's correct. The difference between RTM and GA is a few bug fixes, so you can wait for an update 0 which will upgrade your RTM. Thanks!

Okay, thanks
Is it possible to run the Enterprise Manager with RTM version and all Backupservers with GA version until to RTM_to_GA update is available? Or do I run into problems with such a config?
thx

[MERGED] Update from RTM to Release Update 4
Hi,
I think I missed how to update from Update 4 RTM (build 9.5.4.2399) to the Release Version 26.15
Can anyone give me a hint, please.
Regards
Marc

Re: Update from RTM to Release Update 4
Quote from the previous forum digest:
Thanks!Gostev wrote: Those who have already installed the RTM build in their production environment will have a couple of ways to upgrade to the GA build.
First, you can simply uninstall the RTM build and install the GA build pointing it to the same configuration database.
Alternatively, you can wait for Day 0 Update we will make available a few days after we go GA, this will do an in-place upgrade of your existing installation to the GA build.
And of course, you may just stay on the RTM build, if the following issues fixed in the GA build are not relevant to you:
1. Subscription license replacement grace period bug for licenses with 0 Workstations cause agent jobs to stop working until you install an Instance license.
2. Non-existing VMs specified in advanced job settings cause jobs to fail after upgrade (their presence was not an issue in Update 3a).
3. Inoperational RESTful API V1_3 protocol version (one used in Update 3a). We already have a standalone hotfix available for this through support as well.
4. Direct SAN transport fails for vSphere backup proxies installed on certain non-English OS locales due to "special" characters present in the OS temp path.
5. Backup Copy jobs fail to start after data transfer window opens, if their copy period started during the restricted window.
6. Transaction log backup email reports are missing for Windows agent-based log backup jobs Windows.

Thanks Gostev - I guess I wait for the Day 0 Update in that case.

Yep, as long as you don't face the mentioned issues, you can just wait for Day 0 Update. Thanks!

Re: Update from RTM to Release Update 4
Just wondering if there's anything I should be aware of here - I can't see any new update files other than the original 3.3GB U4 GA ISO. Will this simply update U4 RTM to GA?

Re: upgrading 9.5 Update4 RTM build to GA
Hi
Thanks for your answer. Is there an approximate release data available for this update patch from RTM to Update4 GA release? Do we talk from some days or maybe from weeks until this patch is available? This would be helpful for my planning?
thx
