2 "After this job" entries in one job shedule

Post by hannisch »

Hi,

is there a way to configure 2 "After this job" shedules for one job. For example:
"Daily backup" job is from Monday to Thursday. After this the job "Replikation" is started
The "weekly backup" job is on Friday. After this job the the job "Replikation" should starts as well.
Is there a way to configure this ? In the gui I can chose only one job.

Hi,

You can just schedule your "Daily" to run from Mon to Thu, "Weekly" to run on Fridays, and "Replica" to run "Mon-Fri" around the time when the backup jobs are supposed to be finished. If replica job starts earlier it will wait for the backup job to finish.

Thanks!

Hi Sven, why do you have different jobs for Mon to Thu and Fridays? Do they have different scope?

The friday jobs are backuped to another location and they are stored longer than the daily backups.

For this scenario you can use backup copy jobs with GFS retention, they were designed specifically for this.
