Post by pizzim13 »

Can the search server be set to only index certain Windows VM's being backed up with Veeam or is it all or nothing?

Yes, you can configure which VMs to index (and even which folders to index) in the advanced settings of the corresponding wizard step.

How is it that you can limit the amount of space that Search server takes up ?

Hello Justin,

You can configure this by going to Catalog settings (in Enterprise Manager) and changing Retention period value. For the version 5.0.2, default setting is to keep data for 3 months.
