Network Errors: Failed to connect to the port

Post by kspare » 1 person likes this post

I was getting the following errors:

Processing Server
Error: Failed to connect to the port [192.x.x.124:2515] 01:05
02/01/2019 5:17:35 AM :: Getting VM info from vSphere

I was convinced this was not a network error.

I just want to throw this out there for others.

it was a network error, I had an odd arp issue where the windows proxy couldn't see the linux repo.

Once I verified with a ping it could see it, boom all the backups worked again.

Unsure why this happened, but rebooted the host it should be on would probably work.

Just another crazy friday in the IT realm.
