Last Result N/A

Post by cardendave »

Hi Guys

I have a Veeam Physical Agent backup running from my Veeam Backup and Replication console. I can see from the backup files themselves that there is a complete backup, and I tested a restore. But under last result and next run I have N/A.

Why am I not seeing the results and time here please?

Thanks

Dave

Hi Dave,

Is that managed by agent or managed by backup server job type? Thanks!

Managed by Agent. It is controlling backups on a different site and Managed by Server needed to use a Proxy, but they are physical servers so couldn't deploy a VM to do so.

Thanks

Hi Dave,

I guess that's the main reason for that. When jobs are managed by Agent, the backup server does not "know" when the next job run is going to be, since all settings are controlled by the Agent.

Thanks!

well, I can see a backup job is running. So surely it should be able to report the result...

Dave,

It makes sense for agents that are connected all the time. For offline machines or machines with no direct connection we cannot be 100% sure that we will able to take the backup at the given time, thus N/A is displayed. Makes sense?
