Hello Veeam Users,
Like many, I have issues with USB media recovery. I have around 15-20 laptops different brand/models Etc. I don't want to use USB media recovery as I have lost and misplaced many disks. ( I appreciate this option and not taking it for granted but I really lost the boot disks)
Is there a possibility of implementing this in VEEAM server to host BOOT from LAN to restore users laptop?
For example We have HP laptops and after pressing F9 key I will be able to boot from LAN and select VEEAM and then find the restore points for certain users or brand and restore it successfully.
Please let me know. I simply love Veeam.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Boot from LAN Not USB MEDIA for Recovery
You can do this by building your own PXE server that host the images of the boot media.
It's a tall order however depending on what OS you want to use for the server.
You will need DNS control for the network environment and a few other things.
I have done this at home to boot into different PBE for computer fix media.

Re: Boot from LAN Not USB MEDIA for Recovery
Hello and welcome to the community Raju,
May I ask if you are using agents managed by Veeam B&R or you were talking about standalone deployments? Thanks!
Unfortunately, we do not have such functionality but as Patrick mentioned - PXE boot can be used to boot from .iso.Is there a possibility of implementing this in VEEAM server to host BOOT from LAN to restore users laptop?

Hi Raju,
There is a variety of guides on the internet on how to establish your own PXE environment using various tools. Feel free to use any, depending on the PXE server OS preference and software ability to boot directly from ISO.
Thanks
