Linguistic issue

Post by marius roma »

In my Italian version of Veeam B&R 9.5 I get the following error while attempting to confngure a remote vCenter for replica:

Connessione sottostante chiusa: Errore imprevisto durante un'operazione di invio..
Impossibile leggere dati dalla connessione del trasporto: Connessione in corso interrotta forzatamente dall'host remoto.
Connessione in corso interrotta forzatamente dall'host remoto.

How can I get the English test of the message, in order to perform some investigation before opening an incident?
As a general issue, how can I get the English text of messages and errors?
Regards

Hello Marius,
hmm, there is only an English version of VBR... there is no localized version of the software.

Do you have your Windows installed in Italian? Usually it is because of how Windows gives us back the error in the native language. I also got very few German messages over the last years although I only have a German keyboard / location (English Windows).

Best regards,
Hannes

Hello,
sorry, but there is no way to translate system error messages as they do not come from us. Veeam error messages will always be in English.

Best regards,
Hannes

Keep in mind, you can always open up a case and we'll try to assist you in the language of preference if available (Italian is an option as well).

Hi Marius,

I found https://www.deepl.com to be very useful when it comes to translate system messages to english.

I'm using german windows and finding things on google is much more effective with english error messages.

You can use Microsoft Language Portal to translate error messages: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/language/Emt

In your case, translations would be:
The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send
Unable to read data from the transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host
An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host
