Upgrade of Linux Client Reports Failed to install agent: non-matching product versions

Post by ViciousXUSMC »

I have about 8 linux agent based backups (oracle enterprise linux) and when we did Veeam 9.5.0 to 9.5.4 they all needed to get upgraded.
So that happened pretty transparently, with a re-scan it reported the agents needed and upgrade, and then they all self upgraded.

Except... just one machine.
I have one machine that is reporting this error when it is re-scanned.
Failed to install Veeam Agent for Linux: Failed to install agent: non-matching package versions
Error: Failed to install agent: non-matching package versions

I have taken a look and the server has the same kernal version, repositories, dkms status, everything I can think of looks pretty much the same as the other servers and if I search for this error online I really do not find any information on it.

Wanted to see if anybody had the right tip to help me figure this out so that I can resolve it.

Kernel - 4.1.12-124.25.1.el7uek.x86_64

DKMS Status
veeamsnap, 2.0.1.665, 3.10.0-957.5.1.el7.x86_64, x86_64: installed
veeamsnap, 2.0.1.665, 4.1.12-124.18.6.el7uek.x86_64, x86_64: installed
veeamsnap, 2.0.1.665, 4.1.12-124.25.1.el7uek.x86_64, x86_64: installed

Installed Packages
veeam.x86_64 2.0.1.665-1.el7 installed
veeamsnap.noarch 2.0.1.665-1 installed

Hello,
it's hard to guess, so I recommend opening a support case.

Thanks,
Hannes
