automount on offhost proxy
I just have a question about the automount on a off host proxy, do you have to enable it of disable it?

Re: automount on offhost proxy
I have some hyper v clusters where I backup the vm's with an offhost proxy?
I see some stuff where they talk about (diskpart - automount) on the off host proxy when the volume is being presented from 3par to the offhost proxy?

Hi Carol, I believe Veeam B&R automatically sets automount to enabled mode when required, so you do not need to bother.

Re: automount on offhost proxy
Carol,
Per what a support rep once told me, all "proxies" in veeam automatically get it set to disabled if possible. I'm assuming it's done automatically for things like direct san and hotadd; hyperv doesn't have hotadd, of course, but still, I'm assuming this is done for your off-host proxy.

That was the case in very old Veeam B&R versions. Now automount is enabled, but SAN Policy is set to "OfflineShared".Per what a support rep once told me, all "proxies" in veeam automatically get it set to disabled if possible.
