VeeamZIP Backup and Restore

Post by fle@acupay.com »

If I do a VeeamZIP to C:\Backup of a Windows VM on my local machine, once completed can I copy the backup file to another storage location (external drive or network drive) and be able to restore it from the new location? Or will I lose metadata since the restore file is not being restored from the original C:\Backup location of my local machine?

Hello and welcome to the community Frank,

You can copy the resulting vbk file to any media you want and import it back to Veeam B&R console whenever it's required. Take a look at this Help Center article to learn more about VeeamZip options. Cheers!
