Get-VBRSQLDatabase not returning all DBs

Post by mmcverry »

When I run Get-VBRSQLDatabase -ApplicationRestorePoint $restorepoints[0] where $restorepoints = Get-VBRApplicationRestorePoints -sql -name "myvmname", only a few of my SQL databases on that VM are returned in the results; the same is for any restore point in the $restorepoints array. However, when I perform an Application items restore from backup for the same VM from the Veeam Console, all of the SQL databases are listed in Veeam Explorer for SQL as expected and I'm able to perform restores from all of them. Why would all of the SQL databases for a restore point show up in Veeam Explorer for SQL but only some in Powershell? I ultimately want to use a Powershell script that will automatically restore the latest SQL backups for a handful of my databases off to a test location, which I can't currently do because Powershell is not pulling the SQL databases I'm wanting to do this for.

This is obsolete cmdlet, now you should a new set of VESQL cmdlets. Can you tell what problem you experience while working with them? Thanks!

Not sure whether I got it correctly. Can you tell me whether the issue persists with the provided set of VESQL cmdlets or not? Thanks!
