cannt browse onedrive repo

Post by Symbiot78 »

Hi

upgraded to 3.0 already.

I am trying to access the onedrive repo.
When I open veeam explorer for microsoft onedrive it asks for a host. I leave it as default as I have everything except for the storage on the same server.
after some seconds it opens up the onedrive browser windows but the organization bit is empty.
When I then open the veeam backup for microsoft office explorer (the one where we config everything) and look in history it says "onedrive restore (all organizations - 29-04-2019) success.
Job took 3 minutes.

Same goes for sharepoint explorer.

What am I missing?

Are you manually opening the veeam explorer? You can start the explorer via the VBO console and it will mount the restore point. You can rightclick on the organization and start the explorer.

all 3 msi's are installed.
the explorer for onedrive is in "all programs".
explorer for onedrive is NOT visible from the normal client.
if I open it from "all programs" and connect to o365 backup server nothing really happens.

Via the VBO console, you can right-click on a backup job and start the explorer as described in our user guide. Are you saying this isn't visible for your organization?

Yes. It is missing.
Let me know if you have ideas.

Did you configure a backup job and did it run correctly? It looks like you didn't back up any OneDrive data if you don't have the option to explore OneDrive backups.

Hey Symbiot,

If you have OneDrive for Business and SharePoint explorer data protected (see question above from Niels) and it doesn't show, please create a support case. It might be some component missing or something like that. Please post the support case ID here and the outcome after investigation of our engineers

Thanks
Mike

hi

thanks for replying.
the issue, it turns out, is that the users had been created in the "includes" list without onedrive. because my script iterates through all users and uses "add-vbo" it never SET the onedrive parameter on the users.
I included a set and now it works.

Awesome, good news and thanks for letting us know what the problem is. This is one of these "stupid" things that are hard to find sometimes :-).
