Hi,
Does anyone know about the maximum value that can be set for VssPreparationTimeout in the Windows registry?
https://www.veeam.com/kb1377
Our customers are asking about the maximum value that can be set.
Kind Regards,

Re: VssPreparationTimeout Maximum Value
Hello,
I understand that it might be interesting to know max values, but on the other hand I tend to say "not necessary to know as long there are no issues"
Could you ask the customer to try the value he wants to set (I mean it makes no sense to set it higher than the backup interval...)?
Best regards,
Hannes

Re: VssPreparationTimeout Maximum Value
Hi Hannes,
Thank you for your answer.
Because it is your production environment, you can not easily try it. .
It has been asked how many values can be set as Veeam product specifications.
※ We do not set to maximum value.

Re: VssPreparationTimeout Maximum Value
Hi,
as it is a 32bit value, I guess something around 4294967296. But I'm not willing to research that with R&D because I don't believe that it is relevant.
Just set the value you need and it will work. I understand this kind of answer does not compute very well in some cultures, but maybe you can give it a try
Best regards,
Hannes
