VM failover and replication job for VM

Post by bdufour »

hello,

i recently grouped several VMs into one replication job, my question is - if i failover one of the vms in this job, will the next replication job skip this VM bc its in a failed over state? previously, i had more replication jobs for individual vms so i could just disable the job for that vm while failed over.

thanks

Hi Blake, replication for the VM will fail while it is in a failed over state.

i see, shouldnt veeam be smart enough to know the vm is failed over and maybe skip the vm or something similar? i cant think of a reason why it shouldnt be if the job for the VM is just going to fail anyway. i hate seeing failures in the console, although i get there is a perfectly logical reason behind why it failed.

i guess maybe another solution, would be to have the ability to skip/disable a vm in a job where multiple vms are apart of the job. its easier to maintain jobs with similar vms in one job.

Let's consider this an improvement for future versions. Thanks!
