License used on V3 release

Post by MauroBF »

Hello there
i have a Office 365 organization with 18 users and related mailbox. Into this have 4 shared mailbox too.
In the license report system consuming 4 license extra = 22
Some mailboxes like "info@" last week were normal mailbox and i change in shared type so i think that after 31 days license will be free (maybe i hope so)
But in the report i see Discovery Search Mailbox too. I read in some articles that this is a known problem in Veeam 2.0 . I have installed 3 release
Have you any suggestion?

Thank you

By default, they will become free after 31 days but you can revoke a license via powershell using Remove-VBOLicensedUser (requires to remove the data though - so waiting may be better for you).

Hi Mauro,

First: Welcome to the forums
Second: Niels is correct, they should become free after 31 days. The discovery search mailbox should be indeed fixed in version 3. If you still see it as licensed, then something is wrong. Please create a support call for this so it can be fixed.
PS: I assume those info@ mailboxes are not that big in size? In that case I would go against Niels suggestion (;-)) and actually remove the data and revoke the license for them, and add them in to the job again afterwards... Then you are good and don't need to wait 31 days)
