how backup works if incremental failed

Hi,

I would like to understand more how backup chain works if an issue occurs.
If chain is synthetic full sunday and backup start but issue occurs on wednesday. What does it mean ?
only wednesday backup is useless or all the next backup point too ?

I know this is a noob question, but I don't understand it....

If all the retries are unsuccessful on Wednesday, this restore point will be marked incomplete and all the missing data blocks will be copied during the next job run.
