Network Traffic Throttling Rules for Restore to Microsoft Azure

Post by Tos »

Hi

Our customer want to throttle network traffic for Restore to Microsoft Azure.

We understand there are below Network Traffic Throttling Rule settings in Veeam
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... l?ver=95u4

If we have configured Azure Proxy, could we throttle network traffic for Restore to Microsoft Azure by setting the private IP address of Azure proxy to IP range of Network Traffic Throttling Rule settings in Veeam ?

Even if we have not configured Azure Proxy, could we throttle throttle network traffic for Restore to Microsoft Azure by setting "Internet" of Network Traffic Throttling Rule settings in Veeam ?

Hello Toshihiro,

Currently, there is no network traffic throttling for Restore to Azure. What is the need for having it in place - could you please share a bit more details?

Thanks

Hi
Thank you for reply.
The customer want to reduce the impact of "Restore to Azure" on other Internet services.
Therefore, the customer wants to limit the bandwidth for uploading backup data to BLOB when executing "Restore to Azure".
