Veritas multipath backup

Post by biohazard156 »

Just posting on here to see if anyone else has had this issue.

Features were actually taken away from us when Veeam updated from version 2 to version 3 of the Linux agent. The version 2 will backup Veritas multipath mounts while version 3 it is made to ignore them. you would think moving forward your adding features and not taking them away. I have voiced this to our account reps but never have heard anything back.

There was actually a small period that version 3 actually caused system crashes with Veritas multipath mounts until they decided to ignore them in new sub versions.

Hi,

If i am not mistaken, you opened a support case # 03 - - - 078 about the issue. There is still an ongoing internal discussion about the problem and the ways of addressing it.

Thanks!
