Free version asks for license?

Post by digitlman »

Hello,

My Veeam Free version complains that the license file is missing and then closes the program when I open it. It was installed on 3/28, so I don't recall having the trial key, which would have expired long ago anyway.

Do I need to remove and re-install?

Hello,

There is no need to re-install the product. Once you open the Monitor console, you should see a pop-up message box leading to the free license registration link.

Hope this help.

I click the link, log into the site, I get an email with a trial license.

However, I cannot "install" this license file, because when I re-open the program, the same issue repeats.

You should install it with Veeam Monitor Server Settings which can be launched from the Start Menu -> All Programs -> Veeam.

OK, that worked.

Will I have to do this again, or am I all set for good?

Any chance at getting a free license for more than 32 CPUs? That is the only free license that has been sent to me the numerous times I have been prompted to register my product and get a free license.

Do not pay attention to the sockets' count, free license can be used with unlimited number of physical CPUs.
