Like Gostev wrote in the weekly digest, VMware was really close to releasing this, and it came out yesterday along with some major SACK patch notes:

So please be careful in updating your environments until Veeam comes out with official word that it's supported

Thanks for sharin this. Yes, we have worked already with 6.5 U3 early access builds and checked them with our Update 4b release that will be released in next days.
We will start regression testing with the final version now and will share support statement soon (normally within 2 weeks).

Veeam QA completed regression testing for vSphere 6.5 Update 3 with Veeam Backup & Replication v9.5 Update 4b and we now official support this VMware release.
Our technical support is already aware - Documentation, Release Notes and KB updates will follow soon.
