Veeam B&R sql components

Hello

I have a new server with SQL Express 2017 and Management Studio 18.2. I'm installing latest Veeam B&R and Ent Manager and System Configuration Check asks me to install some SQL 2014 components:



Are they really needed if there is an existing SQL Express install on the server?
I just don't want to install older sql components and then worry about updating them.

Hi Lukasz,

Yes, these components are necessary for B&R services interaction with SQL server. They will work with SQL Express 2017 that is fully supported!
