Email notifications from Enterprise Manager are incorrect

Post by aalmond »

Hi,

I have 6 separate backup servers linked to Enterprise Manager. I've noticed that the daily summary emails will have different values in the subject vs the body of the email. For example, from last night the subject says "Last 24 hours: 0 Errors, 0 Warnings, 16 Successes" but the body says "Summary of last sessions for all jobs: 0 Errors, 0 Warnings, 17 Successes". The body always says the correct amount (17 successes) but the number in the subject will vary. Is this a bug or do I have something configured wrong?

Thanks

Might be a bug.

I have the same problem with the email notifications. Did you ever open a ticket OP?

Hi Sean, is it always the case? Any chance it is caused by job retries? Anyway, I recommend contacting support directly with this so our engineers could take a closer look at what happens. Thanks!

Are you sure you don't have a job that is not enabled or scheduled daily? Maybe a monthly tape job or something?

It is a summary of ALL jobs, not just in the last 24 hours. Only the subject line covers the last 24 hours.

The emails from Enterprise Manager definitely could use a little love in terms of wording and options for what to include.
