vPower NFS Service for Physical Server Backups

Post by tthomas1@ebsco.com »

Newbie question here:

Is there any reason to run the vPower NFS Service if all we are using Veeam for is physical server backups? More precisely, does the service have the ability to load a physical server backup as a VM and integrate it into a VMware environment? I don't want to run it if we will never use it, but don't want to leave it off if it has benefit.

Hello Tim,

Since Veeam B&R currently does not support instant recovery to VMware from agent backups vPower NFS Service - it's not required. Take a look at this article to learn more about Veeam vPower NFS Service. Cheers!
